Nam Tran is a member of Winstead's Real Estate Finance Practice Group.  He represents and counsels national and regional institutional lenders on all aspects of commercial real estate finance transactions across all asset types, including retail, multifamily, industrial, office, and marinas.

Nam's practice encompasses loan originations with particular expertise in construction lending. He regularly navigates complex capital structures, recognition agreements, and other arrangements in transactions involving joint ventures, ground leases, and mezzanine financing.  He is experienced in all aspects of the loan process, managing transactions from origination to closing.

Beyond loan originations, Nam advises lenders on the full lifecycle of commercial real estate loans, including servicing matters such as modifications, assumptions, partial releases, and workouts.

  • Representation of national and regional institutional lenders with respect to the origination of construction and acquisition loans in numerous states in all categories of real estate including retail, office, multifamily, marinas, and industrial.
  • Representation of national and regional lenders with respect to servicing matters including consents, modifications, extensions, assumptions, partial releases, workouts, forbearance arrangements, and deeds-in-lieu.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
