| ProfileTracy Walne is a member of Winstead's Energy & Environmental Practice Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in energy and environmental and oil and gas law.
Tracy has worked as a sole practitioner for 15 years. Prior to that he owned an independent oil company engaged in generating oil prospects, acquiring leases, obtaining industry financing and operating during the testing and development of each prospect. He also co-founded Black Stone Oil Company in 1980, which generated and sold exploration prospects to the oil and gas industry. Its principal activity involved the testing of the Woodbine (deep gas) formation in Polk County, Texas, in numerous wildcat prospects. Representative Experience
- Counsel to various independent oil and gas producers engaged in domestic onshore and offshore exploration and production operations regarding issues arising out of acquisitions, operations, financing, administrative compliance, operating agreements and participant and investor relations
- Purchase and sale of producing oil and gas properties
- Farmouts and participation agreements for upstream oil and gas drilling and development projects
- Compliance with onshore and offshore regulatory agencies
