Winstead is a firm where newer associates are shown what it means to practice law, and more established attorneys are rewarded with lifelong careers and the support needed to build an increasingly rewarding practice.
Winstead maintains its commitment to attorney success through its Professional Development Program, an innovative curriculum of practical instruction that complements law school education.
New associates begin their Winstead experience in the Lawyer College, a two-day initial orientation to Winstead and its culture. In addition to day-to-day training in the practice groups of their choice, associates benefit from an intensive series of lectures, demonstrations, mock trials and interactive sessions. The Professional Development Program teaches and models fundamental lawyering skills, communicates the values of the legal profession and facilitates Winstead associates' integration into the legal profession and the firm.
The program is designed to bridge the gap between law school and practice and exemplifies Winstead's commitment to practical education beyond the classroom. |
