Winstead conducts on-campus interviews at a large number of law schools and job fairs to recruit associates with initiative, maturity, creativity and an eagerness to work with like-minded professionals. From a pool of thousands of applicants, Winstead's recruiters interview several hundred top law students for its Summer Associates Program each fall. Among those students, Winstead invites only a few dozen to join the program. A student's decision to apply for the program may be the first step in a long and rewarding career with the firm.
