Cody's practice focuses on construction-related litigation and transactions in the commercial real estate, public works, and energy industries.  Cody represents owners, developers, contractors, governmental entities, and financial institutions in matters involving pre-construction strategies, contract preparation and negotiation, risk allocation, and dispute resolution in state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute resolution forums. Prior to practicing law served as a judicial intern for the Texas First Court of Appeals and a Harris County District Court to gain insight into trial tactics, courtroom procedures, and judicial decision-making processes.

Representative Experience

  • Represented offshore oil and gas jack-up rig designer in a complex international construction dispute to obtain multimillion dollar award for client.
  • Aided client to reach favorable resolution in multimillion dollar dispute arising from the installation of wet compression units within gas turbines.
  • Negotiated numerous beneficial resolutions for clients to avoid protracted litigation and disputes.

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.


AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
