Koy Killen is an associate in Winstead's Commercial Litigation and Energy & Environmental Law practices. Koy has experience in various aspects of civil litigation and appellate law, including general commercial litigation, oil and gas, real estate, premises liability, personal injury and defense of governmental entities.   • Trial counsel in lawsuit alleging oil & gas lease termination. Obtained summary judgment on behalf of oil field services company in lawsuit for alleged surface damage.
  • Hydrocarbon pipeline condemnation suits filed by common carriers under eminent domain law.
  • Representing a major land and petroleum exploration company in a lawsuit challenging the validity of liens filed against client's mineral interests by oilfield supply companies in various West Texas properties.
  • Defended one of the world's largest energy companies in an East Texas case seeking surface damages.
  • Defended major North Texas production company in Federal Court class certification claim over alleged royalty underpayment.

  • Represented hotel owner in an easement dispute with a neighboring property owner.
  • Served as trial counsel for a national industrial fabrication company in a construction contract suit involving a commercial bakery.
