Winstead attorneys receive highly competitive salaries and benefits. Annual bonuses are based on each associate's actual accomplishments, rather than adherence to outdated standards or lock-step systems. The firm's compensation committee gives each attorney's total contribution careful consideration and recognizes team effort as well as individual achievement. We believe this progressive policy assures fairly distributed rewards to all those who work at Winstead.

The firm formally reviews each associate's progress twice yearly and adjusts salaries once yearly. Associates are given the opportunity to evaluate themselves and also receive input regarding their performance from several senior attorneys. To supplement these reviews, senior attorneys also give daily guidance to new associates. Associates are elected to income shareholders before they attain equity shareholder status. Winstead has two shareholder categories – income and equity.

Winstead offers an industry-leading benefits package that includes, among other benefits, the firm's savings plan with a 401(k) matching component, profit-sharing plan, payment of group life and disability insurance premiums, group major medical coverage, downtown paid parking and payment of bar association dues.
