Winstead PC is proud to sponsor SpaceCom, America’s Commercial Space Conference and Exposition. Developed in collaboration with the NASA Johnson Space Center, the conference addresses current industry events and strategic ways for businesses to position themselves competitively in the commercial space sector, which is expected to become a trillion-dollar industry.
Now in its fifth year, the event will take place on Wednesday, November 20 and Thursday, November 21 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Topics for the 2019 conference and exposition include critical regulatory considerations, cross-industry opportunities, returning to the moon, and more.
As a founding partner of SpaceCom, Winstead’s attorneys have collaborated with regional business leaders to support and further develop the space industry and to grow commercialization efforts. Shareholder Denis Braham is a member of SpaceCom’s advisory board and was instrumental in bringing the event to Houston. In early 2014, Braham worked closely with the NASA Task Force and The Greater Houston Partnership, along with the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau (GHCVB), to develop strategies and identify opportunities to leverage Houston’s space ecosystem.
“SpaceCom has rapidly become the premiere conference for the commercialization of space technologies, and Winstead is thrilled to be a part of it each year,” Braham said.
This year, Winstead attorneys Robert Shaddox and Jennifer Chance will participate in the Entrepreneur Summit workshop and will be on a panel of judges for the innovation competition that follows. Frank Amini will also speak during the workshop.
Winstead is a SpaceCom Founding Gold Sponsor, and will host the VIP reception kickoff event with networking opportunities, product demonstrations, and discussions with elected officials, local stakeholders, speakers and sponsors, and leaders from NASA.
