Amanda Harvey is a member of Winstead’s Corporate, Securities/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Amanda's practice primarily focuses on advising insurance clients on regulatory and compliance issues and representing clients before various Departments of Insurance in licensing and ongoing business.  Her previous experience includes working for the Texas Department of Insurance and as in-house counsel for a large non-profit health system.

Representative Experience

  • Advises insurance clients on a wide range of state and federal regulatory matters.
  • Advises health insurance and health maintenance organization clients on various affiliate arrangements, provider and vendor contracts, federal and state coverage requirements, and privacy laws.
  • Assists insurance clients in responding to regulatory audits.
  • Represents insurance agents, third-party administrators, utilization review agents, and insurance clients in obtaining state licensure and form approval.
  • Represents entities in obtaining regulatory approval of insurance company acquisitions and organizational restructuring.
  • Drafts insurance coverage documents and policyholder communications.

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
