Chad Stoker is a member of Winstead's Construction Practice Group. Prior to joining Winstead, his background was deeply rooted in defense industry. Chad served as Division Security Manager for a worldwide contractor in aerospace systems and national security solutions where he was responsible for national security regulatory compliance. In addition to his service in the United States Air Force he served in several national security compliance and leadership roles for the Department of Defense, Defense Security Service.

Chad’s experience in the business world informs his counsel and allows him to advise in ways that are relevant to both business professionals and attorneys. Chad represents real estate owners, developers, tenants, and contractors in negotiating complex design and construction agreements and resolving disputes.

Representative Experience

  • Preparation and negotiation of complex design, construction, professional services, design-build, and construction/project management contracts for multiple commercial, multi-family residential, industrial, and hospital projects in Texas and many other states.
  • Analysis of design and construction agreements in large commercial and industrial projects for several lender clients.
  • Preparation of complex design, construction, and consulting agreements for work related to several airport renovation and expansion projects.
  • Representation in negotiating settlement agreements related to multiple projects including situations involving defective design of a storage facility, defective fabrication and installation, lien claims resolution, and disputed grading work.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
