Lorin Combs has been a member of Winstead's Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group since 2001. Lorin's practice involves a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on representing commercial developers with acquisitions, dispositions and financing of real property. Lorin also specializes in the development and financing of data-centers, mixed-use projects, condominium developments and planned communities.
- Acquisition/Development Transactions: Representation of purchasers and sellers in the acquisition, development, construction and disposition of unimproved and income producing commercial real estate and related title, environmental and land use matters. Representation of developers in all stages of the development of retail centers, hotels and resorts, multi-family projects, offices, mixed-use and condominium developments, industrial uses, build-to-suit and speculative projects.
- Equity Transactions: Representation of investors in the structuring and formation of all types of real estate entities, including joint ventures.
- Finance: Representation of borrowers and institutional lenders in connection with debt and equity financing, including construction, mezzanine and permanent loans and loans to tenant-in-common borrower structures. Representation of lenders and borrowers in workouts of distressed assets, including debt restructuring and judicial and non-judicial foreclosures.
- Corporate Transactions: Formation of US limited partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations and other legal entities in various states and consultation regarding effective corporate governance and corporate formalities.
