Stephen represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes, complex civil disputes across a wide range of industries, including aviation/aerospace, insurance, higher education, real estate, and construction. He has a dozen years of significant “first chair” experience in all stages and types of litigation and dispute resolution. He also provides legal advice to clients on risk assessment and management, and develops legal strategies for achieving business objectives while avoiding or mitigating potential disputes. Stephen has a strong track record of building trusting relationships with clients through collaboration, sound judgment, creative problem solving, hard work, and good results.

Before joining the firm in 2011, Stephen served as a law clerk for Circuit Judge Edward C. Prado of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Chief Judge Mark E. Fuller of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
