Ian Salzer focuses his practice on high-stakes litigation, handling complex, high-value disputes as well as large dockets involving national and global companies. He represents clients in commercial disputes involving contracts, fraud, fiduciary duties, real estate, corporate reorganizations, construction claims, intellectual property and other business matters. Ian’s experience includes developing case strategy, managing discovery, preparing corporate representatives and senior executives for depositions, briefing and arguing dispositive and emergency motions, and serving as lead counsel at trial. 

Ian has secured significant judgments and dismissals for clients, obtaining emergency injunctive relief, and representing companies in disputes involving substantial financial and operational exposure. He also has experience with shareholder disputes and complex bankruptcy-related proceedings, including matters involving sophisticated financial transactions and claims exceeding $1 billion.

• Briefed sole successful dismissal in wide‐ranging New York fraudulent transfer case seeking over $1.1 billion in damages.
• Prepared corporate witnesses and defended string of corporate representative depositions for big 4 real estate services company in New York fraud case involving $100+ million.
• Successfully argued and obtained emergency preliminary injunction in favor of Official Fiesta San Antonio Royalty.
• Secured $500,000+ summary judgment, including award of attorneys’ fees, on behalf of Dallas‐based tax consulting firm.
• Primarily responsible for constructing arguments and drafting critical filings in billion‐dollar chapter 11 bankruptcy and securities fraud cases.
• Defended general contractor against construction defect claims on $1 million+ commercial warehouse job, and prosecuted counterclaims against site owner resulting in favorable arbitration award for unpaid invoices and attorneys’ fees.
• Obtained pre‐discovery dismissal of commercial lien claim on behalf of institutional client.
