Nicho Stevens is a member of Winstead’s Business Litigation Practice Group. Nicho’s practice encompasses the representation of both national and regional corporate entities, national banks, and individuals in a wide range of commercial disputes involving real estate, lease and property disputes, business divorce, financial services and lending, collections and general commercial litigation in both federal and state courts. Nicho also counsels clients during the pre-litigation phase of disputes in an effort to obtain efficient, favorable outcomes and avoid unnecessary cost and expense to the client.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a commercial property owner in a lawsuit arising from a neighboring property owner’s harassment and threats made to the client’s tenants and obtained a favorable judgment following a jury trial
  • Represented the seller of a commercial property in a multi-million-dollar lawsuit that included allegations of fraud against the seller, related entities, and individual brokers, and secured a favorable settlement for all Defendants
  • Represented a national bank against a borrower and guarantors in lawsuit for the amounts due and owing to the bank and defended against the borrower’s counterclaims based on alleged fraud, conversion, and interference with business relations, and secured final summary judgment on all issues in the bank’s favor
  • Represented an international hospitality company against a resort owner in an injunction proceeding where the resort owner attempted to force the hospitality company to vacate the property without paying all management fees owed and obtained an order denying the requested injunction and ultimately secured a favorable settlement for the hospitality company

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
