Sarah Churchill Llamas Joins Winstead’s Corporate, Securities/M&A; Healthcare Practice Group

AUSTIN, June 29, 2017, — Sarah Churchill Llamas, a healthcare and health information technology attorney and nationally-recognized professional in health IT solutions, has joined Winstead's Healthcare and Corporate Securities/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Groups as a Shareholder in the firm’s Austin office.

Widely regarded in the healthcare industry as a seasoned business and operations executive, Sarah’s practice focuses on Healthcare IT, transactions, joint ventures and regulatory compliance. She advises providers, hospitals, health plans, health information exchanges, health IT startups, and other established businesses on healthcare and healthcare information technology issues including data privacy, security and governance, cybersecurity, telemedicine, population health, health reform, merit-based incentive payment systems and transactions involving health technologies, accountable care organizations and value-based managed care arrangements.

Sarah joins Winstead from the senior leadership team of Sonic Healthcare USA, a global medical diagnostics company based in Austin.

Sarah has served as a Health IT Fellow in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Technology for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since 2014 and has continued as an alumnus of the program since 2017. Here she collaborates with the private sector, non-profits, academia and government agencies on improving data privacy and security, health data governance, risk assessment and management for high-stakes projects.
