Winstead Recognized in 2018 U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” Survey

11.02.17

DALLAS, Nov. 2, 2017 – U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers have released the 2018 Best Law Firms rankings. These rankings assess a firm’s combination of quality of law practiced and breadth of legal experience. Winstead received acknowledgement in 39 areas of practice in the 2018 report.

Awards were given in 75 national practice areas and 122 metropolitan practice areas. The rankings reviewed 13,745 U.S. law firms across 75 practice areas. A total of 1,911 firms received a national law firm ranking. The rankings are posted at www.usnews.com/bestlawfirms.

Ranked firms, presented in tiers, are listed on a national and/or metropolitan scale. Receiving a tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for its abilities, its professionalism, and its integrity. More than 13,000 attorneys provided 1,000,000 law firm assessments and 7,500 clients provided 65,000+ evaluations.

All of the quantitative and qualitative data were combined into an overall U.S. News – Best Lawyers overall score for each firm. Because firms were often separated by small or insignificant differences in overall score, they have been tiered rather than ranked sequentially.

In general, the first tier includes those firms that scored within a certain percentage of the highest-scoring firm(s); the second tier, those firms that scored within a certain percentage of the next highest scoring firm(s), etc.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
