Winstead Partners with MassChallenge Texas

07.07.20

Winstead PC is proud to again partner with MassChallenge Texas to support and strengthen the global innovation ecosystem, and to make Texas the best place in the world to start and scale a startup business. The MassChallenge Texas program launched the last week of June and will host the first event for the public to connect with this year’s startups, the MassChallenge Virtual Startup Showcase, a two-day trade show style event on July 16-17. Open to the public, attendees will meet over 200 startups worldwide who are bringing innovation forward to build a stronger and more connected tomorrow.

MassChallenge accelerates high-potential startups across all industries and this year’s showcase represents 18 countries, 34 states, and 57% female founders, who bring fresh ideas that will drive economic development by both creating new jobs and generating wealth. Each year, through a zero-equity, competition-based model, the four-month MassChallenge program connects participants to up to $3M USD in cash prizes, an international community of startups, world-class mentoring, tailored curriculum, and access to corporate partners; across their 9 global locations.

Winstead shareholders Alex Allemann and Ryan Valenza head up this partnership for Winstead, serving as legal partners who provide educational content and mentorship to these early stage entrepreneurs. Winstead shareholders Lekha Gopalakrishnan, Frank Amini, and Robert Shaddox also provide specialized curriculum and mentorship throughout the program.

“MassChallenge Texas is ecstatic to connect our Austin startups to the expertise and resources at Winstead,” said Mike Millard, Managing Director of MassChallenge Texas in Austin. “Partnerships like this are a tenet of every MassChallenge program. Our partners serve as mentors and advisors who open doors for startups, and they serve as judges alongside innovation leaders to select competition participants and winners. In doing so, our partners get access to ground-breaking ideas, new business models, go to market strategies, and innovative ways to approach their own business."

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
