Dallas Regional Chamber Annual Meeting
New member video, mobile site and board members to be unveiled

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Dallas Regional Chamber's Annual Meeting will review 2011 accomplishments, unveil a video montage interviewing national, local and global executives on why they moved to Dallas, and launch its new mobile website on Thursday, January 26 at the Fairmont Hotel (1717 N. Akard Street, Dallas). The event, held from noon—1 p.m. in the Regency Ballroom, will also announce new board members.

The behind-the-scenes footage, entitled "You Belong Here", features interviews with Texas state Rep. Rafael Anchia (D); Vinnie Mitz, President of Copart; Gabriella Draney, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Tech Wildcatters; and Milton De La Paz, Regional Manager for Qantas Airlines, on why they have relocated or expanded their operations in the Dallas region. The video also features Chiji Offor, Associate for Jones Day and Mike Cheyney, National Accounts Manager, Rolland Safe and Lock Company.

“Together we have made great strides towards our five year goals, laid out last year in our strategic plan - Blueprint for Economic Prosperity. Our video montage demonstrates what makes Dallas such a desirable location to work and live through the eyes of a few of our members,” said Amb. James C. The Dallas Regional Chamber will also launch its new mobile website at the luncheon. Available at web.dallaschamber.org/mobile, the mobile website allows members and the public to register for events, search the Chamber’s member directory, view coupons and browse news articles.

Speakers will include W. Mike Baggett, Chairman Emeritus of Winstead PC and 2011 Chairman of the Chamber Board; Stephen L. Mansfield, PhD, FACHE, President and CEO of Methodist Health System and a Member of the Chamber’s Board; Amb. James C. Oberwetter, President and CEO of the Chamber; and Clint D. McDonnough, Dallas Office Managing Partner of Ernst & Young LLP and 2012 Chairman of the Board. The 2011 Chairman’s Award honoree is David Corrigan with Corrigan Investments.

He is being recognized for his work on behalf of the Chamber related to regional initiatives and for his drive behind the building of the Museum of Nature and Science. The Chamber will also announce new Dallas Regional Chamber board members.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
