Lacey Stevenson is a member of Winstead’s Wealth Preservation Practice Group. Lacey has extensive experience as a tax attorney with particular emphasis on matters involving fiduciaries, trusts, and high net worth individuals and their families.

Representative Experience

  • Design and prepare primary estate planning documents, such as revocable trusts, wills, and financial and medical powers of attorney
  • Advise and assist executors, trustees, and beneficiaries with the funding, administration, taxation, and distribution of trusts and estates 
  • Design, implement, and monitor transfer tax minimization strategies, such as gifts to family trusts, installment sales to grantor trusts, and grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs)
  • Assist families with the formation of closely-held businesses to own and manage family assets
  • Prepare and review federal gift tax returns (IRS Forms 709) and federal estate tax returns (IRS Forms 706)
  • Assist trustees with judicial and non-judicial modifications /  reformations to irrevocable trusts 
  • Assist clients with the formation of tax-exempt organizations

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.


AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
