FORT WORTH, TX, March 29, 2023 - Winstead PC, a leading Texas-based law firm with national practices serving clients across the country, today announced that David Fowler Johnson, Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Fort Worth office and the lead writer for the Fiduciary Litigator blog, has been recognized by the National Law Review (“NLR”) for its 2022 Go-To Thought Leadership Awards in Estates and Trusts.

“Mr. Johnson authored the 2022 article ‘Texas Passes A New Law To Punish Elder Financial Abuse,’ detailing at-length the Texas Legislature’s new criminalization of financial abuse of the elderly, which saw significant increases in 2021 and 2022. The article reached a considerable audience this year, and demonstrates the very high quality of Mr. Johnson’s thought leadership,” the NLR commented in announcing Mr. Johnson’s award.

The NLR recognized 75 legal authors and organizations pulled from the thousands of pieces of content published on the platform in 2022. The NLR online edition is a resource that captures legal trends and news and provides updates on a daily basis and has become one of the highest volume business law websites in the U.S.

This is the fifth year the NLR editors have formally recognized the efforts of less than 1% of the publication's 14,000 thought leaders. Authors chosen as NLR Go-To Thought Leaders not only demonstrate impressive legal knowledge but write with an eye toward compliance or suggestions on how to adapt to legal changes. Along with attracting high numbers of readers to the National Law Review site, these distinguished authors are also frequently referenced and syndicated by other media.

Mr. Johnson is an active trial and appellate attorney and primarily represents corporate fiduciaries, and individuals. His practice focuses on trust and estate disputes, such as breach of fiduciary duty, trust modifications, trust construction, removal of trustees and executors, will contests, mental competency issues, undue influence, and accountings. He also works with parties in closely held business disputes and other fiduciary litigation matters.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
