Andre Hays is a member of Winstead’s Wealth Preservation Practice Group. Andre focuses his practice on personal tax planning, with particular emphasis on structuring estate plans for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals.

Representative Experience

  • Design and prepare primary estate planning documents, such as wills, revocable trust agreements, and financial and medical powers of attorney
  • Advise and assist executors, trustees, administrators, and beneficiaries with the funding, administration, taxation, and distribution of trusts and estates
  • Design, implement, and monitor sophisticated estate planning techniques and transfer tax minimization strategies, such as gifts to family trusts, installment sales to grantor trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), and irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs)
  • Assist families with the formation of closely-held businesses to own and manage family assets
  • Prepare and review federal gift tax returns (IRS Form 709) and federal estate tax returns (IRS Form 706)
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate premarital and post-marital agreements
  • Assist trustees with judicial and non-judicial modifications, reformations, and terminations of irrevocable trusts
  • Assist clients with the formation of tax-exempt organizations

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.


AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
