Rebecca Bergeron is a member of Winstead's Energy Practice Group.  Rebecca has experience with oil and gas acquisitions, transactions, and land titles.  Her experience includes assisting clients with time-sensitive due diligence title evaluation for the acquisition of oil and gas leases, wells, and mineral interests, as well as preparation and interpretation of mineral conveyances and title documents.  Rebecca also has experience with the preparation and analysis of joint operating agreements, participation agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and farmout agreements.  Her experience in rendering original drilling, supplemental, and division order title opinions, setting forth fee and leasehold ownership of land, provides the essential background for advising clients concerning title defects, appropriate curative measures, and the business risks related to various courses of action. 

In addition, Rebecca has experience in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, pre-trial motions, post-judgment motions, trial briefs, and jury charges; arguing pre-trial motions; managing discovery; working with expert witnesses; preparing witnesses for trial; and developing defense strategies in preparation of trial. 

While attending law school, Rebecca served as a briefing intern at the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals for the Honorable Rebecca Simmons.
