Wesley Hunnell is a member of Winstead’s Construction Practice Group. Wesley’s practice focuses on real estate development, with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating construction contracts. Prior to practicing law, Wesley served in the United States Army, including in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he managed a portfolio of construction projects in Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Wesley’s practical construction experience translates into superior representation for clients and a thorough understanding of the potential issues on a project.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of owners and developers in drafting and negotiating design, consulting, and construction contracts for the development of multifamily, mixed-use condominium, build-to-rent, higher-education, health-care, commercial, and industrial projects across Texas.
  • Representation of owners and contractors in payment disputes, delay claims, and defect claims.
  • Advised clients of obligations and remedies under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
