Winstead Names Tom Van Arsdel Houston Managing Shareholder

Houston, TX, Mar. 24, 2016 — Winstead PC has named Tom Van Arsdel the firm’s new managing shareholder of the Houston Office.  Van Arsdel is a member of Winstead’s Business Litigation Practice Group, representing clients in a full range of industries, including banking, energy, land development, manufacturing, equity investment, and sports and entertainment.  He has been with Winstead since he graduated from law school in 1998.

Winstead currently operates two offices in the Houston region with over 80 attorneys and 150 total personnel.  In his role as Houston managing shareholder, Van Arsdel will lead efforts focused on growth and expansion while continuing his law practice.  Van Arsdel’s legal experience covers all phases of complex business litigation, including first-chair trial experience. He has tried many cases to jury verdicts in both the state and federal courts, and has argued appeals before the Fifth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Texas, and the state courts of appeals.

Van Arsdel succeeds shareholder Greg Erwin, a real estate attorney who previously served as managing shareholder of the Houston office.  “It’s been my pleasure and honor to have served as Winstead’s managing shareholder,” said Erwin.  “The Houston office is a ‘Best Place’ to work, with a tremendous and talented group of lawyers and staff, and great new leadership.”

A member of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association, Van Arsdel is a published writer and presenter.  He has been listed as a Texas Rising Star and a Lawyer on the Fast Track.  He received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center where he was the articles editor for the Houston Journal of International Law.

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators
