“Texas bucks national unemployment trend”

By Paul Davidson, USA TODAY

In the USA Today article focused on growth and job opportunity in Texas, the reporter interviewed several Dallas business leaders, including Winstead shareholder and chairman emeritus Mike Baggett, asking them why the Texas job market is so good.  Mike, in addition to serving on several boards and committees supporting growth and prosperity in Dallas, served as the chairman of the Dallas Regional Chamber in 2011.  According to Mike, Dallas is an ideal place to relocate for many corporations and the Chamber has invested a great deal of energy into encouraging companies in other cities to move to D/FW.  Mike also mentioned in the article for USA Today that growth is affecting all areas of business, including his own law firm, Winstead, which has hired dozens of attorneys over the last year and continues on an aggressive hiring program.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
